The most important direction of the Faculty work is to improve the educational, professional and cultural level of the students, to modernize the infrastructure, to strengthen the international ties, to form business liaison with educational institutions, media, press, information services and advertising agencies as well as other partners.

The strategic objectives of the Faculty of Philology is the formation of scientific schools, engaged in research in the field of Russian Philology, Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising; as well as the development of such scientific directions, as History and Theory of Genres in the Russian Literature, Functional Aspects of the Language Specifics of media in today's multimedia information technology environment.
